As more and more information and activities go online, people without digital skills become excluded from the modern world and all it has to offer.
In conjunction with the Be Connected program, we are seeking volunteers to help reverse this exclusion.
We are looking for Digital Literacy Mentors who have digital skills and knowledge, and who are prepared to share that with others. Mentors will work face-to-face with older people, either individually or in small groups, to help them get online with confidence. The main areas where help is needed include emails, web browsing, Skype, Facebook, using online forms, and mobile phone navigation.
You don’t need to be an IT whiz! You just need to have basic skills and plenty of patience!
Please call Eunice at the Community House on 03-56623962 or email email@example.com to register your interest in being a Digital Literacy Mentor.
