Did you know that 19 November is World Toilet Day? Over 2 billion people around the world don’t have access to safe functioning toilets. World Toilet Day is an opportunity to raise funds to address this state of affairs.
Leongatha Community House is participating in Pay to Pee during the week of 14-19 November. Whenever you visit the bathroom at the House, we ask that you pay for the privilege.

Our Annual General Meeting happened! And there is an expanded Committee of Management now in place.
Thank you to the outgoing Committee for their amazing contributions of time, knowledge and skills – the House is better because of them.
And we welcome the participation of new and continuing Committee members and look forward to an exciting and vibrant 2017 with them at the helm!
Our Annual Report for 2015-16 was presented at the AGM and is available for viewing.
Photography exhibition to celebrate Seniors Week (3 – 7 October)
Leongatha Community House is seeking your help to compile photographs of bygone days to celebrate Seniors Week 2016. Please drop in to the Leongatha Community House throughout July, August and September with your photos of family, buildings or anything else of historical interest and we will copy them immediately and return them to you on the spot! Please provide us with a written description of what your photo is about and, if known, the year it was taken.
All photos will be on display at the Community House during Seniors Week (Monday 3 to Friday 7 October) and the general public is warmly invited to view the photos during the week from 10 am – 3pm.
On Monday 3 October at 11 am there will be a special morning tea to launch the exhibition and to celebrate Leongatha Community House’s 35th year in our community. You may help yourself to a cuppa as you enjoy the exhibition on other days during Seniors Week.
We look forward to contributions of your photos and we hope to see you at the exhibition!
